ESL broadens scope of Bad Boy Leeroy partnership with Brazilian focus

Tournament operator ESL has expanded the scope of its partnership with Brazilian entertainment holding Bad Boy Leeroy (BBL).

The extension of the agreement is said to build upon the current long-term partnership between ESL and BBL, focusing on strategic improvements and efficiency at the local level.

BBL will continue producing the Brazil Premier League, an event series featuring Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2, as well as expedite the local delivery of international projects stemming from ESL’s headquarters in Germany and its North American subsidiary. Additionally, the local sales of international ESL events will be managed by the Brazilian group.

Leonardo De Biase, Founder & Partner of Bad Boy Leeroy, commented on the expansion in a release: “We are very happy to advance to the next stage of our relationship with ESL and fully complete the transition which started with ESL One Belo Horizonte in 2018 and the strengthening of the Brasil Premier League (BPL),” said De Biase. “These projects, as well as many others, have increased ESL’s presence in the local tournament community through its partnership with BBL. Both ESL and BBL will continue to deliver the best content for our local fans.

BBL has maintained a close relationship with ESL since establishing in 2018; the holding company’s founder, De Biase, also serves as ESL Brazil’s managing director.

You can sink your teeth into more exciting insights around esports in Brazil at tomorrow’s LATAM edition of ESI Digital Summer, where De Biase will be speaking on the panel ‘CS:GO Mania in Brazil.’

Despite being an international success, ESL has always maintained a focus on the development of esports at the local level. The event operator’s partnership expansion with BBL is another glimpse of how ESL collaborates with partners to deliver products around the world.
